LEARN A LITTLE:

STOP THINKING

No doubt all of us have had the occasions when we think too much. We don’t make progress on our decision making because we keep processing the same things over and over again.

What we need to do is to cultivate the mindset, “just start now” and not allow our thinking to become the major obstacle to action.

These thoughts were prompted by an old quote I came across that was made by Ted Williams. “If you aren’t too good at thinking, don’t think too much.”

Good luck.

LAUGH A LITTLE:

REFLECT A LITTLE:

Proverbs 10:8 (NLT)
“The wise are glad to be instructed,
but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.”

READ A LITTLE:

Smarter, Faster, Better was written by Charles Duhigg, who you may remember for the book The Power of Habit.

In his latest book (2016), Duhigg takes the reader through the choices that can be made to increase and enhance the productivity of the organizations that we work in.

Many powerful insights and research results are shared, including the recognition that good teams succeed not on the basis of the qualities of the individual members, but rather on the basis of how they treat one another.

A number of key thoughts are shared, in terms of employee retention. “You can’t bake a high-quality cake if you don’t start with the best ingredients.

The eight-step framework for creating and sustaining a high performing culture is very practical and understandable.

If you are curious about curiosity this book is for you.
