LEARN A LITTLE:

“Moods at the top move the fastest!”
I was talking with a colleague recently and while describing her boss she said, “…and she’s always in a bad mood.”
Several thoughts came to mind. The first was that employees do indeed notice and pay attention to their bosses’ moods and there’s no escaping it. Bad moods impact others. When a leader is positive, optimistic, and cheerful, those around that person feel more positive and hopeful.
Moods are generally referred to as a person’s feelings or state of mind at any given period of time. Remember this well-known observation: Moods at the top move the fastest.
It is important that leaders pay attention to their moods and the expression of their feelings. Moods shape the atmosphere and tone of every office or work site. This could be that area where you need to change before you can expect a change in others.

Atomic Habits
James Clear 2018
This book resonated with me on many fronts. Few things have a more powerful impact on our lives than being able to change our daily lives. As you might deduce from the title, Clear makes the observation that “Habits are like the atoms of our eye.” They shape our identity.
The author provides excellent direction for improving our habits and helping us become the person we want to be.
The book concludes by sharing the four laws of behavior change for both creating good habits and breaking bad habits. Each one of the laws is part of an effective system for behavior change.
